After the Olympic Games in Tokyo, the International Judo Federation (IJF) published new rankings of the world’s best judokas, and the current world champion and the best Croatian judoka, Barbara Matić, sat at the top of the rankings in the category up to 70 kg, while Karla Prodan was eighth in the category up to 78 kg. The best result in the performances of Croatian judokas at the Olympic Games so far, fifth place in Tokyo, helped Barbara Matić to jump seven positions and become the first name in the category up to 70 kg.
